๐ŸŒฑ LowRyder #2 Auto Grow Diary

As a passionate home grower, I wanted to share one of my most rewarding projects: my LowRyder #2 Auto grow diary.
This strain is known for its compact structure and fast life cycle, making it ideal for small grow tents or first-time growers looking to explore autoflowers.

๐Ÿ  My Setup

For this run, I grew inside a Secret Jardin DP60 tent โ€” a perfect fit for smaller spaces but soon migrated to a 140cm x 70cm x 200cm Spider Farmer tent.
My light source was a Platinum QuantumBoard 180W LED, which provided a balanced full-spectrum output throughout the grow.
To keep conditions stable, I aimed for around 63% relative humidity and moderate airflow using clip-on fans and passive ventilation.

The medium was Lightmix soil, which already contains gentle nutrients ideal for autoflowers. I decided to go for a simple water-only approach during the first weeks to avoid nutrient burn.

๐ŸŒฟ Early Growth & LST Training

LowRyder #2 Auto is a resilient little plant โ€” she handled her first weeks with steady, compact growth and healthy leaf color.
Around week 3, I started with LST (low-stress training) to open up the canopy and improve light penetration. This technique not only controls height but also encourages multiple bud sites to develop evenly.

Since autoflowers donโ€™t like too much stress, I bent and tied the main stem gently, adjusting daily as she stretched toward the light.

๐Ÿ’ก Managing Light and Environment

With my 180W LED set at the optimal distance, the plant received strong light without heat stress.
Throughout the grow, temperature stayed near 24ยฐC during the day and dropped slightly at night โ€” the perfect range for healthy vegetative and flowering development.

As she began flowering, I reduced humidity gradually to around 50โ€“55% RH to prevent mold and ensure tighter buds.

๐ŸŒธ Flowering & Aroma Development

By week 5, the first pistils appeared, signaling the start of flowering.
The aroma developed quickly โ€” a sweet, earthy scent with subtle citrus notes typical of LowRyder genetics.
I continued watering lightly every few days, ensuring the soil dried properly between waterings to maintain good aeration and root health.

During this stage, she stayed short and stocky, with dense buds forming along all main branches โ€” proof that the LST training paid off.

๐ŸŒพ Key Takeaways

Growing LowRyder #2 Auto reminded me why autoflowers are so enjoyable:

  • Fast results: Seed to harvest in around 9โ€“10 weeks.
  • Compact size: Perfect for small spaces like my 60ร—60 cm tent.
  • Low maintenance: Minimal feeding needed thanks to pre-fertilized soil.
  • Great learning strain: A solid introduction to LST and indoor control.

If youโ€™re starting your own journey with autoflowers, this strain is a forgiving and fun choice. It teaches timing, patience, and how to work with the plantโ€™s natural rhythm.
